AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR

Visit to the National Museum - Report

Students of Class VI, alongwith their class teachers, visited the National Museum of History, Janpath, Delhi on 23rd and 24th July.

The students had a joyful bus ride to the museum. At the premises, they were divided into smaller groups and guided by instructors from the National Museum, who took them from one section to the other, while explaining the relevance of each exhibit in the section.

Students were given elaborate details about the findings at Harappa and other Indus Valley Sites as this is part of their syllabus. They were thrilled to see all the artefacts that they had only read about in the textbook. The other sections that the students were shown included the Coins section, which exhibited coins from Ancient, to Medieval and British India. Mauryan Art and Buddhist Art exhibits saw great excitement among students.

After an enriching tour, they spent some time at the Canteen in the Museum premise and thereafter proceeded back to school.
