The morning of the 26th of October Father Agnel School, Noida brought to the  parents, the Annual Day 2024-25. The event was graced with the presence of Reverend Father Bento, Regional Superior, the chief guest of the occasion, Director Reverend Father Carvalho along with principals of sister schools and other esteemed guests.

This year the Annual Day showcased our very own adaptation of Guru Dev Rabindranath Tagore’s renowned play, ‘Tasher Desh’, the land of cards. Originally dedicated to Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose, the satirical drama explores the themes of breaking the shackles that bind our society in stagnant thought. It uses women as an insurgent force to bring about revolution in a tyrannous nation. The theatrical performance gives young minds an important message of change, independence and the right to freedom of speech.

The vibrant performance was an ideal display of India’s rich cultural heritage. From the talented Hindi choir, whose soulful renditions of select Rabindra sangeet left the audience in awe, to the vividly clad classical as well as contemporary dancers, who added a sense of whimsy to the musical. The brilliant performers with their convincing acts truly transported the audience to Tagore’s own wonderland. The students enacted the mechanical beings of the land without flaw, so bringing much laughter to the auditorium.

The day was concluded with the felicitation of all the hardworking people involved in making the program a success as well as singing of the National Anthem, yet another song written by Guru Dev Rabindranath Tagore, instilling the proud feeling of being an incorrigible Indian in the hearts of everyone present in the auditorium.
