Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

21 / Jul

On the 12th of July, 2024, Father Agnel School, Noida, celebrated its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony — a momentous occasion dedicated to honouring students who demonstrated exceptional excellence not only in academics but also across a vibrant spectrum of extracurricular pursuits.

Following the announcement of the CBSE Board Examination results for the academic session 2024–2025 in May, the school once again proudly upheld its tradition of outstanding achievement. In recognition of these accomplishments, the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held in the school auditorium, with a program carefully curated to both inspire and enthrall.

The event unfolded in two phases, each showcasing a perfect blend of reverence, celebration, and artistic expression.

The programme commenced with the solemn lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a prayer and a soul-stirring rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the Hindi choir, invoking divine blessings.

Principal Mr. Philip N. Gomez then addressed the gathering, congratulating the achievers and encouraging them to continue their pursuit of excellence.

Leading the procession were the school toppers of class X grade—Juanita Sajan George, Abheek Panigrahi, Atharv Arora, and Pushti Jain—whose remarkable performance in the board examinations set a shining example of dedication and excellence.

The academic honours continued with Grade XII toppers: Shaurya Gupta (Science – 98%), Manasvi Gupta (Commerce – 98%), and Payoja Chauhan (Humanities – 98%). Their stellar performances were met with thunderous applause.

The English choir captivated the audience with melodious renditions of “Key to the Vaults of Heaven” and “Children Rule the World.”

This was followed by the presentation of special honours — the prestigious Director’s Award, the Dr. Jose Inacio & Maria Olimpia Carvalho Award, and the Fr. Bento’s Golden Jubilee Award — each a testament to holistic excellence and commitment. The director, Father Carvalho’s inspiring address added further depth to the occasion.

An enthralling Kathak performance then graced the stage, leaving the audience spellbound. It concluded with the distribution of academic awards to the toppers of Grades XI, VII, VIII, and IX.

The girls’ band delivered a spirited performance of “Courage to Change,” which was met with resounding applause.

The ceremony drew to a grand finale with a dynamic percussion performance, followed by a closing address from Father Carvalho. The Vote of Thanks was delivered with poise by the Head Boy and Head Girl, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, teachers, parents and students.

Finally, the audience rose to join in the singing of the school hymn, bringing the curtain down on a truly spectacular and memorable celebration of the event.
