Annual Sports Day- Earth Matters

The air was infused with vitality and enthusiasm at Father Agnel School, Noida as grades I, II, and III celebrated their "Annual Sports Day" on December 20, 2023.

 

Keeping in line with this year's Annual Sports Day theme of "EARTH MATTERS," the children embraced the Panchbhutas - earth, air, water, fire, and space - the five elements of nature.

The young and talented students of Grade III presented a special walkpast that encapsulated the five elements of nature. The skilful students of Grade II demonstrated the various "Suryanamaskar" positions spreading the message, "Save Energy today for a Brighter Tomorrow." The youngest Grade I sports enthusiasts demonstrated the importance of “Conservation of Water" with a lively and upbeat aerobics routine.

 

Karate is an excellent way to build strength and our students skilfully demonstrated their abilities in this form of martial arts during Sports Day. Our young athletes participated in multiple races and generated a lot of energy and a healthy competitive spirit on the field. At the end, all the students got together to present the Grand Finale which was a visual extravaganza of dance and sports with a proud sense of unity.

 

The event was graced by Reverend Father Carvalho, who at the end of his speech, motivated and urged each one to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and liveable place. Everyone departed with smiles on their faces as it was a day full of sportsmanship, positivity, priceless memories, and a promise to self to create hope for the future as “Earth Matters” to each one of us.
