“EK PED MAA KE NAAM”

The Tree Plantation Project, “EK PED MAA KE NAAM,” at Father Agnel School, Noida, reflects our commitment to both nurturing young minds and protecting the environment.

With the gracious support and permission of our Principal, the students of Class 5 conducted a rescue operation to save nearly 270 indigenous saplings from the school campus, ensuring their preservation. Some of these saplings were replanted on the school grounds to enrich the campus greenery.

As a follow-up activity, the students, under the guidance of the Vice Principal, Primary Coordinator, EVS teachers, and the Environment Ministry, embarked on a nature walk to the Give Me Trees Trust in Sector-47, Noida, where they donated the remaining saplings. In addition, the students contributed fruit seeds they had collected and milk packets from home.

At the Trust, students explored various types of trees and were guided by the Trust’s in-charge to observe and identify plants, analyze their characteristics, and understand their benefits. The students documented their observations and explored the area’s biodiversity, deepening their connection to nature.

This initiative, which began with a nature walk on the school campus, has instilled in students essential life skills and a deeper sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation.

*This project seamlessly blended practical learning with environmental stewardship, inspired by our esteemed Director, Reverend Father J.A. Carvalho, who believes that true education emerges from active exploration and critical thinking*.
