FATHER CARVALHO’S JUBILEE CELEBRATION

On the occasion of Fr. Carvalho completing 50 years of his priesthood, the Father Agnel group of schools organized a Golden Jubilee celebration on Friday, 28th April 2023. The celebration was held in the school auditorium at Father Agnel, Noida, on the theme ‘My Soul Magnifies the Lord’. The Archbishop of Agra was invited as an honorary guest along with Father’s friends and family.

The celebration was held in the two halves: the beginning with Fr. Carvalho’s Priestly Ordination and the other half being the cultural programme. The event started with a dance performance by the students of Father Agnel School, Vaishali, welcoming the guests and marking the beginning of the mass. Following this was the Holy Mass, which was presided by the Archbishop of Agra. This included the ceremonial rites for Father’s Priestly Ordination, accompanied by melodious hymns sung by the English and Hindi Choirs. The ceremonial half ended with the felicitation programme.

The next half began shortly after, as the Archbishop addressed the gathering. This was followed by the exhilarating performances of the four branches: Greater Noida, Delhi, Vaishali and Noida, along with a relay of melodious songs by the Bal Bhawan and a heart-moving skit by the Agnel Jan Kalyan Kendra. All performances portrayed Father’s selflessness and his commitment towards the public’s welfare. Alumni and staff members gave heartfelt speeches on Father’s generosity and benevolence. The event finally ended with the school hymn and a celebratory meal.
