FIRST FOOT-STEPS IN FRANCE

On March 15 2025, 23 students and 2 teachers participating in the French Exchange Programme embarked on an unforgettable journey. They gathered at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, at 4 PM to board their flight to Abu Dhabi. After a brief layover, they continued their journey to Paris, landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport on the morning of March 16.

Upon arrival, the students were greeted warmly by their French correspondents, who had eagerly awaited their arrival. As they stepped outside, they met chilly Parisian weather, a stark contrast to what they had left behind in India. From the airport, a bus transported them to Tours—where they were welcomed into the homes of their French counterparts.

Settling into the new environment, the students shared their first meal with their host families and explored the neighbourhood with their correspondents. The hosts provided valuable insights into local customs and daily life, preparing the students for their first day at Saint Gatien.

This exchange programme not only offers linguistic and cultural immersion but also fosters international friendships and a deeper understanding of life in France. The students look forward to the enriching experiences that await them in the coming weeks.
