FOREIGN LANGUAGE WEEK


                From August 17th to August 19th, 2026, Father Agnel School celebrated Foreign Language Week with a vibrant blend of language, culture and creativity. The three-day programme provided students with opportunities to use French and German in engaging, real-life settings while developing confidence and cultural awareness. 

Day 1 – French & German Singing Competition for Class 7
Theme- Nature is a free gift, let's preserve it
The celebrations commenced with an energetic singing competition for Class 7. Students presented French and German songs centred around the importance of nature and its preservation. Their confident performances, enhanced by music and karaoke, created an enjoyable atmosphere and reflected their enthusiasm for learning through music.
 

Day 2 – French & German Role-Play Competition for Classes 9 & 10
Theme- Education is every child's right
The second day witnessed lively role-play performances by students of Classes 9 and 10. Through well-presented skits, students explored the theme of equal access to education. The use of costumes, props and expressive performances added depth to their presentations, while also providing an effective platform to practise their foreign-language communication skills.
 

Day 3 –  French & German Fashion Show for Class 8
The final day brought together fashion and cultural expression in an engaging French and German Fashion Show for Class 8. Students appeared in attire representing the cultural traditions of France and Germany and confidently presented themselves on stage. They introduced their outfits and spoke about their distinctive features in French or German, turning the event into an enjoyable exercise in language, presentation and cultural learning.

The celebrations concluded on a high note, leaving students with a greater appreciation of foreign languages, cultural diversity and creative expression.
