Awashed in the zeal and patriotic colours of the country , the Primary wing , of Father Agnel School Noida celebrated Independence day with an array of cultural programmes on the theme “AGNELS FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST” commemorating the national theme for the 76th Independence Day “NATION FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST” by some awe-inspiring performances by the students of Class V , sections A, B and C.
The programme started with a beautiful rendition by the Hindi choir followed by a talk show by the students of class VC wherein they highlighted the contribution of some lesser known leaders of our freedom struggle . The students also put up a synchronized dance performance to a medley of patriotic songs.
The students of class 5B put up a thought provoking performance, in the form of a ‘nukkad natak’ which harped upon the fact , how we often take our independence as granted and forget that freedom is a precious gift that comes with duties and responsibilities. This was followed by a graceful ‘Kalbelia’ dance by the students of lass III.
India is unique, as the people here live together in harmony despite several diversities. This was beautifully represented through a Fashion Show by class 5 A. The students looked vibrant and beautiful in their varied costumes dancing to the tunes of the polyphony. They also presented a beautiful show on our Tri colour: THE MAGICAL FLAG followed by a contemporary dance performance on the Patriotic Song…”” AYE WATAN.”
The programme culminated with an inspirational speech by Principal sir who reminded one and all that privileges that we enjoy today are because of some supreme sacrifices of our freedom fighters . He also urged the students to uphold the values of unity, diversity, and progress that our nation stands for.
