Developed an Obstacle Detection and Avoidance system for self-driving vehicles using Arduino and ultrasonic sensors. The system continuously detects nearby obstacles, identifies the clearest path, and adjusts movement in real-time for autonomous navigation.

Key Technical Features:

  • Arduino Uno R3 processes sensor inputs and controls motion

  • Three ultrasonic sensors:

    • Front sensor stops/reverses if an object is within 22 cm

    • Two side sensors help decide the direction.

  • L298N motor driver powers four DC gearmotors for steering.

  • 12V power supply supports all components

  • Switch enables manual system control

  • Real-time detection and pathfinding for smooth movement
