On 1st of May, students of the senior wing of our school celebrated Labour Day by organising a special assembly to show their gratitude towards the ancillary staff of the school.
The programme commenced with a prayer by Principal Sir which was followed by a melodious hymn sung by the Hindi Choir. After the pledge, the students of the Nukkad Natak Club of classes 9 and 10 took the stage to present an informative yet heart-touching skit about the arduous life of helpers. The students also enacted a few instances in which we tend to treat our helpers unjustly.
The gathering was then addressed by Upasana Ma’am with a few inspiring words about dignity of labour. Rosy Ma’am also dedicated a few lines to the helpers of the school, without whom it is quite impossible for the institution to function.
The 5th graders prepared cards as a token of appreciation for the didis and bhaiyas of the school, which were handed over to the ancillary staff by Principal Sir and Tina ma’am. After the distribution of gifts one of the helpers of the school thanked the students for this wonderful event and gave a motivating speech to always remain united as Agnelites. Principal Sir also wished the ancillary staff and gave the vote of thanks. The assembly concluded with the national anthem.
