REPUBLIC DAY

26 / Jan

“Freedom in the mind, faith in words, pride in our hearts, memories in our soul, let's salute the warriors and the nation,” were the words that marked the beginning of the glorious celebration of the 73rd Republic Day celebration.

The programme commenced with the recitation of a poem by students of class 4, a mesmerizing dance performance by Sahiti of Class X, followed by the song “Hum Honge Kamyab” sung by our lovely preschoolers. Subsequently a play by students of Class III and a performance by our beloved dancers were the testimony of how India in her variety, her beauty, in her history and culture stands peerless.

The national song “Vande Mataram” was sung with a patriotic fervor, followed by the flag hoisting and the national anthem.

As our Director Rev Father Carvalho gave us all an enlightening speech, the message of true nationalism dawned upon all of us. A pledge led by the MUN representative and the significance of the day by Aadya filled our souls with pride and hearts with zeal.

The event culminated with an address by our Principal Ma’am Mukti.

“The sun shall smile on us and the sky shall be blue without a speck of these clouds of fear and doubt.”
