Father Agnel School, Noida celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day on 25th January, 2023 with great zeal and fervour. The programme commenced with a prayer before the almighty, asking him to bestow his blessings on our country and its citizens. After the prayer our Principal, Sir Freese unfurled the national flag, which was then followed by the national anthem.
The students of class 9th followed up in rhythm, embodying the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces through a splendid march past. The Hindi choir then enchanted the crowd with their melodious rendition of our national song, ‘Vande Matram’ offering tribute to the late Bharat Ratna awardee Shree Lata Mangeshkarji.
The boarders of the school then captivated the audience with their exemplary singing of John Lennon’s popular song, ‘Imagine’. The choir was then followed by a solo dance performance by Manjari Tiwari, the winner of the solo dance event organized by the cultural ministry of the school.
Next up in the queue was the ‘Nukkad Natak’ group who took the students by a storm through their play on ‘Naari Hinsa. The street play artists tried to create awareness and empathy towards the issue. The event concluded by a mesmerising dance performance by the students of class 9. The programme came to a closure by an address by Principal Sir, enlightening students about the significance of the Republic Day.
