TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

05 / Sep

“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.”

With the pandemic still lingering on our doorstep, yet another year, the Teachers’ Day was celebrated online.

The celebration commenced with the traditional Guru Vandhana which was followed by performances by the Hindi choir. First up was a Raga called “Sadh guru Chanara '' and a Guru Strotra by the Hindi choir of class IX. The students poured out their love for the teachers in these melodies and touched their hearts.

The Agnel family paid homage to Nandita Ma’am and Anjali Ma’am, the two beloved teachers it had the misfortune of losing too early. The Head Girl, on behalf of all the students, paid a befitting tribute to the two affectionate souls along with the cultural and the IT ministry, who had prepared a compilation of all the eulogies for the teachers.

Students of classes IV & IX  recited a poem, honouring the teachers for igniting a fire in every Agnelite’s heart. The celebration ended with an inspirational speech by Fr. Carvalho where he elicited the significance of the teachers in our lives

The celebrations were sombre given the loss of our two beloved teachers. But it did not dampen our spirits to express our gratitude for the entire teacher fraternity that is a guiding light for we-the students!
