Teachers' Day - Primary Wing

12 / Sep

A good teacher is like a candle that consumes itself to light the way for others.” With this thought, the Primary Wing of Father Agnel School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great zeal and reverence on 4th September 2024 to honour the dedication and commitment of our teachers. The program was organised by the students to express their gratitude and appreciation for their mentors.

From soulful songs to graceful dances, from thoughtful words to playful moments, every performance was carefully planned and presented entirely by the students as a tribute to their teachers, who guide them with patience, dedication, and care.

The programme began with a prayer song, followed by an informative and inspiring chat show on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan presented by the students of Class III. The dance performance by the little ones from Class I filled the stage with magic and joy. The students of Class II, as well as the Hindi Choir of Classes IV and V, mesmerised the audience with their melody. The rhythmic and graceful dance performance by the students of Classes IV and V left everyone spellbound. A special band performance by the talented young musicians of Class VII further enthralled the audience as they presented a self- composed song dedicated to their teachers.

In his address, the Principal, Sir Philip N. Gomez, appreciated the tireless efforts of the teachers and encouraged students to value their guidance. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ma’am Nandini Awasthy, who not only acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the children but also motivated them to imbibe the values taught by their teachers.

The celebration concluded on a note of gratitude, with students expressing their heartfelt appreciation for the guidance, dedication, and selfless service of their teachers.
